2017 Landscape Architecture Career Fair + PD Workshop 

at the Thornhill Education Center at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle on Friday, March 10th. We are very grateful to our sponsor, the Morton Arboretum, for their continued support of this event. 

Professional Development Workshop  9:00 am – 12:00 pm;  3 PDH - LA CES $40.00  Department Head William Sullivan will discuss Landscapes and Human Health, presenting new and surprising findings that have been published in the last year. Dede Ruggles will present Environmental Responses in the Early Middle East: How to Squeeze Water from a Stone. Registration for the Workshop is $40/person, and is separate from that of the Career Fair. Each Professional Development Workshop attendee must register separately. You cannot register multiple attendees because we need to keep individual records. The Workshop will begin promptly at 9:00 am, so be certain to arrive with enough time to park and check in. 

Career Fair 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Education Center; $50 each firm/per table Set up begins at 12:00 pm. Multiple practitioners from your firm are welcome at no additional cost. Students’ digital portfolios will be available before the event. We expect approximately 60-70 UI students to attend the Fair this year. They are seeking permanent and internship positions, and include BLA and MLA students. The Career Fair will end at 4:00 pm.    

Reception sponsored by ILASLA  4:30 - 6:00 pm; Free but we ask that you indicate this on the registration form.

When you arrive at the Arboretum entry gate, please tell the staff member you are attending the Career Fair. You will not be charged to park. Lot #21 is very close to the Thornhill Education Center. See
